The Coaching Process

1/ Assessment

Through a research-based assessment tool and honest conversation, we’ll clarify your current challenges and leadership strengths.

  • Where are you struggling?

  • Where are you thriving?

  • And why?

2/ Discernment

Together, we’ll identify 2-3 high-impact goals that align with your calling.

Leadership development works best when we focus on a few small changes at a time. We’ll prioritize the ones that will make the biggest difference to you – personally and professionally.

3/ Growth

During weekly sessions, we’ll talk through your most important priorities – addressing both long term goals and the daily challenges of your ministry.

In this back-and-forth between immediate and big-picture concerns, we’ll deepen your leadership capabilities and make progress toward your goals.

Every spiritual leader needs a coach.

The work is too important, too complex, and too demanding to try and go it alone.

Logistics & Cost

  • Coaching is new for many people, but it’s really just a confidential space to work through your biggest goals and challenges – without pressure or judgment. The focus is on you and the kind of leader you hope to be. I’ll support you, challenge you, and help you grow in your skills and confidence.

During this first session, we’ll spend about an hour focused on your journey, hopes, and struggles. We’ll talk about where you’re thriving and what’s challenging you right now. And we’ll discuss how coaching can help support you.

If we mutually agree it’s a good fit, we’ll discuss the details of a 90-day coaching engagement.

  • Over the course of about three months, we’ll meet for one hour every week virtually via Zoom. We start with some personality assessments, move to goal setting, and then work through specific leadership challenges in your daily ministry. We move back and forth between big picture and urgent needs, as you develop new skills, perspectives, and confidence.. Through it all, the focus is on you as a leader – what sustains you in your vocation, ways to build on your strengths, and how to help you thrive, personally and professionally.

  • We offer sliding scale pricing to meet the needs of clergy and spiritual leaders from different contexts. Our goal is for coaching to be affordable and accessible to everyone.

The sliding scale investment for the 90-day program ranges from $1,000 to $5,000, with most clients choosing an amount near the midpoint of $2,500.
